Dr. Sobell graduated from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in his junior year. After completing an internship in internal medicine at the University of Virginia, Dr. Sobell trained in dermatology at the Boston University-Tufts University combined residency program. He then served for several years as a full-time faculty member in the Department of Dermatology at Tufts-New England Medical Center, where he was director of phototherapy. He is currently assistant professor of dermatology at Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Sobell is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is an active member in the American Academy of Dermatology, New England Dermatologic Society, and the National Psoriasis Foundation.
In addition to his position at Tufts University School of Medicine, Dr. Sobell directs the SkinCare Physicians Psoriasis Treatment Center and has clinical interests in psoriasis, general medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He is also chief of dermatology at ORA Clinical Research in North Andover, Massachusetts. He was the guest speaker at the National Psoriasis Foundation’s “Step into My Skin” seminar showcasing new therapies for people living with psoriasis.
