Dr. I. Leonard Bernstein is clinical professor of medicine and environmental health sciences, as well as co-director of the allergy research laboratory in the division of immunology, department of medicine at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Dr. Bernstein is also an attending physician at the University Hospital Cincinnati Jewish Hospital, and co-director of the University of Cincinnati allergy clinic and allergy research laboratory.

Dr. Bernstein received his MD from the University of Cincinnati Medical School. His residency was completed in internal medicine at Cincinnati General and Cincinnati Jewish Hospitals. A fellowship in allergy and immunology at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, followed. 

Dr. Bernstein has served on the editorial boards of numerous publications, including the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and the Annals of Allergy & Clinical Immunology.
