Helen Darling is president of the National Business Group on Health, a non-profit coalition representing large employers' perspective on national health policy issues. National Business Group, formerly the Washington Business Group on Health, includes more than 300 members, including more than 60 companies in the Fortune 100 that purchase health and disability benefits for over 55 million employees, retirees and dependents. Previously, Ms. Darling was practice leader at Watson Wyatt Worldwide, and handled health benefits purchasing for Xerox Corporation. Her background also includes a principal position at William W. Mercer and advisor to former Senator David Durenberger from Minnesota, the then-ranking Republican on the Health Subcommittee of the Senate Finance Committee. Ms. Darling received a master's degree in demography/sociology and a bachelor's of science degree in history and English, cum laude, from the University of Memphis.
