Eugene Litvak, PhD, is Professor of Health Care and Operations Management and Director of the Program for Management of Variability in Health Care Delivery at the Boston University Health Policy Institute. He also teaches operations management in health care as an Adjunct Professor, Department of Health Policy and Management, at the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Litvak is a member of the Institute of Medicine Committee “The Future of Emergency Care in the United States Health System.” He is also Principal Investigator in many hospital operations improvement studies. Dr. Litvak serves as a consultant in operations improvement to several hospitals, and he is faculty for the Institute for Healthcare Improvement in the area of improving patient flow.
