Dr. Emile Allen is the founder of Practice Pearls, a centralized resource where doctors can learn critical business skills needed to grow and manage a successful medical practice.  

Prior to starting Practice Pearls, Dr. Allen was a surgeon and urologist whose career was halted when he sustained a life altering injury while performing an operation.  While recuperating, he confronted first-hand the challenges of navigating the health care system.  Drawing on his knowledge as both a patient and a physician, Dr. Allen created Practice Pearls.   

Dr. Allen attended Northwestern University Medical School followed by a surgical and urology residency at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinic.  He was the chairman of the department of urology and vice chairman of surgery at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, California.  Following that he was in private practice in North East Pennsylvania.
