Dr. Diane Sperling Lauderdale is associate professor in the Department of Health Studies at the University of Chicago. Her research has focused on the social determinants of health and risk for chronic disease, as well as the health of immigrant populations.
Dr. Lauderdale holds a BA in religion from Harvard University, and MA in divinity and an MA in library science from the University of Chicago. She earned her PhD in epidemiology from the University of Chicago School of Public Health. She has been published in JAMA, Population Research and Policy Review, the Archives of Internal Medicine and others.
