Dan Shapiro, PhD, is the Director of the Medical Humanities Program and Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at the University of Arizona in Tuscon, Arizona. Dr. Shapiro is also the author of Mom's Marijuana: Life, Love and Beating the Odds and Delivering Amelia: The Story of a Young Gifted Obstetrician's Mistake and the Psychologist Who Helped Her. In 2008 he was named an Arnold P. Gold Foundation Professor of Medical Humanism.
