Carla Ginsburg, MD, MPH

    Dr. Carla H.Ginsburg is an assistant clinical professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and a gastroenterologist in private practice at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Massachusetts. She received her medical school degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and a masters in public health from Yale University School of Public Health.   

    Beyond her full-time practice, Dr. Ginsburg extends her clinical concerns into the community with an innovative AGA program called Sensitive Screening, which aims to increase colorectal cancer screening in women. Dr.Ginsburg currently serves as a councillor on the governing board of the AGA Institute, and chair Social Conscience Task Force and board liaison to the Public Policy and Advocacy Committee and the Political Action Committee of the AGA. She was the recipient of the 2007 AGA Distinguished Clinician Award and honored in 2008 by the AGA Foundation as one of twenty-four Outstanding AGA Women in Science.
