Bruce Crowther is president and CEO of Northwest Community Hospital in the northwest Chicago suburb of Arlington Heights. Prior to that, he served as Northwest Community's executive vice president and COO from 1989 to 1991.  In the 1980s, Mr. Crowther was vice president of administration at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, president of Health Technologies Inc., and executive vice president of Health Technologies. in the early 1980s, he was director of professional services at University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago, and held administrative positions with Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago from 1976 to 1980.

Mr. Crowther earned his bachelor of science degree in biology and his MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College of Virginia. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and past chairman of the board of the Illinois Hospital Association.
