Dr. Arnold Widen is past president of Community Health, the largest free clinic in Illinois, and continues to serve as a volunteer and advocate for the clinic. He is currently the medical director in the office of the Illinois attorney general. His career has been been particulary focused on issues relating to end of life care, racial and ethnic health disparities, prescription drug charges and costs and issues relating to health insurance. Dr. Widen is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, a Billings Fellow, and past president of the Board of Governors of the Institute of Medicine of Chicago.
