Medical Resource Partners (MRP) has announced an exclusive US distribution agreement with Vydence Medical, marking the Brazilian medical device manufacturer's entry into the US aesthetics market.

Under the agreement, MRP will exclusively distribute 3 energy-based platforms—the Etherea MX, Zye ALX, and Zye YAG—which are designed to support a range of aesthetic and dermatologic procedures through a modular handpiece system.

Modular Energy-Based Platforms Target Broad Range of Aesthetic Indications

Founded in 1987 and headquartered in São Carlos, Brazil, Vydence Medical develops and manufactures solid-state lasers. According to the company, it is the only Latin American manufacturer of solid-state laser technology and holds FDA, Health Canada, and CE Mark certifications.

The 3 platforms feature cross-compatible handpieces that can be used across multiple systems, allowing practices to perform treatments including hair removal, skin resurfacing, pigmentation correction, vascular lesion treatment, tattoo removal, and hair restoration, among other indications. The company states that the platforms support more than 100 treatment applications, although specific FDA-cleared indications were not detailed in the announcement.

Vydence also announced the availability of a picosecond handpiece designed for tattoo removal. The company described it as the world's first picosecond handpiece integrated into a modular aesthetics platform, though this claim was not independently verified.

Each platform will launch in the US at an introductory price of $70,000, or financing starting at $1,785 per month for qualified purchasers, according to MRP. The package includes 1 laser handpiece and 1 IPL handpiece.

"Vydence built something the market hasn't seen," said Scott Carson, CEO of MRP, in a company statement. "We are bringing it to the providers who are ready to stop compromising on capability."

The Vydence platforms are now available through MRP.
