A retrospective analysis published in Plastic and Aesthetic Nursing evaluated the clinical outcomes of an exosome-containing skin booster combined with microneedling for facial rejuvenation, reporting high patient satisfaction and favorable safety findings.

Investigators reviewed medical records from 40 patients treated at a single center between January and March 2024. The cohort had a mean age of 41.2 ± 6.3 years. All patients underwent combination therapy using an exosome-based skin booster (CUREDOC EXOSOME REPAIR Advanced Solution Skin Booster; CUREDOC, Sejong, Korea) at a concentration of 50 mcg/mL delivered with microneedling every 2 weeks for 4 sessions, followed by an 8-week post-treatment observation period.

Clinical outcomes were assessed using standardized photography, patient satisfaction surveys, the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS), and adverse event monitoring. According to GAIS evaluations, 85% of patients were rated as “improved” or better following treatment. Patient-reported outcomes were similarly positive, with 87.5% expressing overall satisfaction, 82% indicating willingness to undergo repeat treatment, and 85% reporting they would recommend the procedure to others.

Safety outcomes were favorable. Reported adverse events were mild and transient, and no serious adverse reactions were documented during the follow-up period. The authors noted that the combination approach was generally well tolerated when administered by physicians in a controlled clinical setting.

The authors emphasized the exploratory nature of the findings, given the retrospective design, small sample size, short follow-up, and lack of a control group. Nevertheless, they concluded that the combined use of an exosome-containing skin booster and microneedling “can be considered a safe and effective option for improving facial aging,” while underscoring the need for larger, prospective controlled studies to better define efficacy, durability of response, and optimal treatment parameters.
