Candela debuted its latest innovation, the Glacē™ System, during the 2026 IMCAS World Congress in Paris, marking the European launch of a platform designed to elevate facial skin treatments across aesthetic and medical settings. The system, which offers both standalone and adjunctive skin purification, aims to enhance outcomes and comfort in combination therapies using energy-based devices.

According to a press release, the Glacē system is engineered for high-frequency, repeatable facial treatments across a wide range of practice types, from beauty-focused to medically oriented clinics. It is intended to improve skin quality and deliver consistent, clinically supported results.

Alongside the Glacē launch, Candela also spotlighted the Matrix™ and Vbeam® Pro platforms. The Matrix system—pending EU MDR clearance—is a next-generation radiofrequency-based workstation integrating microneedling, resurfacing, and noninvasive wrinkle treatments. Powered by the company’s proprietary Aesthetic Intelligence™ technology, Matrix uses real-time impedance monitoring to provide safe, even heating across skin types and treatment depths.

Also featured was the Vbeam Pro system, a dual-wavelength vascular laser (595 nm pulsed dye and 1064 nm Nd:YAG), currently the only US Food and Drug Administration-cleared system of its kind for pediatric use. Vbeam Pro treats a wide range of vascular and pigmentary conditions including rosacea, acne, port-wine stains, scars, and photoaging.

“As someone whose practices use both the Glacē and Matrix systems, I see these platforms as highly complementary,” said Firas Al-Niaimi, MD, Professor of Laser Dermatology and a Board-Certified Dermatologist with a private practice in London, England. “Together, they allow us to comprehensively address skin health—including skin laxity, texture, and tone—safely with precision and confidence. Candela continues to invest not only in technology but also in addressing the needs of a broader cross-section of aesthetic practices and their patients in clinically validated ways that meaningfully and positively impact our patient experience.”

Candela reports it currently supports over 30 global clinical trials and more than 3,000 published articles across a diverse range of skin conditions.
