Aesthetic Meet 2026: The Aesthetic Society Names Dr. Jamil Ahmad President

The Aesthetic Society has named Jamil Ahmad, MD, as its President, and The Aesthetic Foundation has named David A. Sieber, MD, as President, during The Aesthetic MEET 2026 in Boston.

Dr. Ahmad assumes leadership as The Society reports membership growth of more than 30%, with new members from the United States and more than 30 countries. Nearly 3000 attendees gathered May 14-17 for the annual meeting, which included educational programming for aesthetic plastic surgeons and nonsurgical aesthetic professionals.

“It is an honor to serve as President of The Aesthetic Society,” Dr. Ahmad said. “Our focus remains on advancing education, strengthening global collaboration, and upholding the highest standards of patient safety.”

The Society also highlighted growth in The Aesthetic Academy, expanded webinars and masterclasses, and continued adoption of AlliedPro, its membership pathway for nonsurgical aesthetic professionals. Aesthetic One, a member platform expected to launch in 2026, is planned to integrate education, events, registration, payments, and community features.

The Aesthetic Foundation cited ongoing work through the American Registry for Implant Surveillance and Evaluation registry, including an inaugural annual report with data from more than 130,000 breast implant devices. The Foundation also highlighted patient assistance, research grant, education, and externship programs.

“It’s an exciting time for The Aesthetic Foundation,” Dr. Sieber said. “We’re focused on expanding high-impact research, strengthening the role of real-world data, and continuing to raise the bar for patient safety across the specialty.”
