Three recent observational studies from the Olmsted County Study of Urinary Health Status among Men, which is a cohort study of male residents of Olmsted County, Minnesota, have shown that statins may have a protective effect on prostate health. How might statins reduce the risk of prostate cancer, prostate enlargement and erectile dysfunction?
