  • Overview

    The goal of this program is to address the unmet clinical needs associated with enhancing the accuracy and timeliness of diagnosing Idiopathic Hypersomnia (IH), acknowledging the cardiovascular implications of IH, and developing a comprehensive treatment strategy. This curriculum incorporates compelling patient video vignettes that convey the perspective of individuals living with IH and the profound impact that it has on their lives. This program aims to not only educate healthcare professionals on the rapidly evolving field but also to bring about positive changes in clinical practice, ultimately leading to an enhanced quality of life for individuals affected by IH.

  • Target Audience

    This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of the interprofessional team, which includes Neurologists, Pulmonologists, as well as other healthcare providers involved in managing patients with Idiopathic Hypersomnia (IH) and other related sleep disorders.

  • Learning Objectives

    After participating in this educational activity, participants should be better able to: 

    • Improve the accuracy and timing when diagnosing patients suffering from IH
    • Educate HCPs on the cardiovascular and QoL impact experienced by patients suffering from IH
    • Design an evidence-based treatment plan for management of IH

    In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Global Learning Collaborative (GLC) and Total CME, LLC. GLC is jointly accredited by the American Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

    This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 1.0 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credit for learning and change.
