When it comes to treatment that's long-term and anything we call lifelong is very intimidating, not just to the patient, but to us as providers as well. Whether that's a biologic that does not require any kind of testing or that is a JAK inhibitor, for example, that requires pretty frequent testings, I will say, and checking biomarkers a couple of times a year, it is very imperative for us to understand what do these medications do for the conditions long-term. In my opinion, I think that trying to treat things appropriately, in a timely manner, will probably prevent people from progressing to more serious conditions, more severity down the line, and may allow for eventual either titration down or some periods of drug-free time for patients.
