It’s important to have proper communication within the multidisciplinary team (MDT) prior to testing. Key considerations include discussing testing types and tissue needs, communicating with the physician performing the biopsy or surgical resection, and finally, aligning within the MDT on testing priorities so that available tissue is used efficiently.
