    Prior to 2008, there were limited approved treatment options for hereditary angioedema (HAE) available in the United States, but today, there are several medications approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for preventing and treating HAE attacks.1 In light of the number of therapies that have been approved in recent years and continued clinical advancements in HAE research, what do we need to consider when discussing these treatment options with our patients?
