    In this interview, Dr. Gibofsky will be assessing disease activity and targeted treatment by applying the 2015 ACR guidelines for treating patients with rheumatoid arthritis. 

  • Target Audience

    This activity has been designed to address the educational needs of rheumatologists. This activity will also be of benefit to other healthcare practitioners interested in the management of rheumatoid arthritis.

  • Learning Objectives

    Upon proper completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

    • Identify patients with rheumatoid arthritis who may benefit from approved and emerging biologic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), including undertreated patients and patients with early disease, based on mechanism of action, clinical efficacy and safety data, and their unique clinical profiles.
    • Describe available tools for monitoring rheumatoid arthritis disease activity and progression and their utility in optimizing therapy.
    • Recognize how patient history and disease duration influence patient response to biologic DMARDs for rheumatoid arthritis.
