  • Overview

    In this case-based discussion, Dr. Morales will share insights from his clinical experience on selecting patients likely to benefit from treatment with fixed-ratio combinations of GLP-1 receptor agonists and basal insulin, as well as advice on how to start and titrate these agents.

  • Target Audience

    This activity has been designed to address the educational needs of primary care practitioners, including internists, family physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and PAs, who are integral to the care of patients with type 2 diabetes. It may also benefit endocrinologists, certified diabetes educators, and other clinicians who manage patients with type 2 diabetes.

  • Learning Objectives

    Upon proper completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

    • Review safety and efficacy data of fixed-ratio combinations of basal insulin and GLP-1 receptor agonists in patients with type 2 diabetes.
    • Identify patients with type 2 diabetes who are appropriate candidates for treatment with fixed-ratio combination therapy with basal insulin and GLP-1 receptor agonists.
