    What are the essential steps in managing hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn (HDFN)? How soon after “the cord has been cut” does newborn care transfer from the maternal-fetal medicine specialist and ob-gyn to the pediatric team? At a recent satellite symposium of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. James Bussel, Dr. Kara Markham, and Bethany Weathersby presented the latest data regarding current and emerging practice patterns and highlighted the critical need for improved understanding and multidisciplinary collaboration in the area of HDFN.
