  • Overview

    Pulmonary hypertension clinical trials have almost traditionally focused primarily on Group 1 patients. However, recent interest has been built around non-Group 1 patients or on subgroups of the Group 1 category.  This expert roundtable explores some of the issues particular to PH patients not often found in the idiopathic groups often used for clinical trials.

  • Target Audience

    This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, registered nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients with pulmonary hypertension.

  • Learning Objectives

    After participating in this educational activity, participants should be better able to:

    1. Engage providers in lower-income geographies and discuss best practices to identify at-risk patients;
    2. Discuss sub-populations of patients who are “at high risk” and identify appropriate screening candidates;
    3. Describe best practices for recognizing, managing, and referring patients appropriately;
    4. Identify key subgroups with a high risk of pulmonary hypertension;
    5. Provide best practices and tools to practicing clinicians to bolster collaboration with PH centers and create novel ways to empower patients in their care.

    In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Global Learning Collaborative (GLC) and TotalCME, Inc.
