Wendell Potter is the senior fellow on healthcare for the Center for Media and Democracy, a healthcare advocacy group based in Madison, Wisconsin. He also works as a consultant based in Philadelphia, providing various groups stratetic communications advice and services. From 2008 and for two decades prior, Mr. Potter was a corporate public relations executive in the health insurance industry. He most recently headed corporate communications for Cigna Corp., where he held various public relations roles for 15 years. Prior to his work as Cigna, he headed corporation communications for Humana, Inc., another large health insurance company. Mr. Potter is a native of Tennessee and a graduate of the University of Tennessee.
