Warner Carr, MD

    Warner W. Carr, M.D. received his medical degree from University of Washington School of Medicine in 1996. He then completed his internship and residency program in internal medicine at Brooke Army Medical Center in 1999. Dr. Carr pursued additional training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center where he served as a fellow in allergy and immunology from 2002-2004. Board Certified in both internal medicine and allergy and immunology, Dr. Carr joined the Allergy and Asthma Associates of Southern California Medical Group in Mission Viejo in 2007, where he practices both adult and pediatric allergy. In addition, he is the associate medical director of Southern California Research.

    Dr. Carr served eleven years in the United States Armed Forces and is a decorated combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Recognized as a leader in the field of allergy and immunology, he has been on several national boards, including the Board of Regents of the American College of Allergy and Immunology, a professional organization that represents more than 5,000 allergy and asthma specialists throughout the United States and from many foreign countries. In addition, he has extensive experience in the field of clinical trials, having served as a Medical Officer at the Food and Drug Administration, and served as the principal investigator or numerous clinical trials.

    Dr. Carr has authored numerous scientific articles and serves on the editorial boards of 2 peer reviewed journals. He is currently the chair of the Basic and Clinical Immunology Committee, and Young Physicians Committee; in addition he is a member of the Immunotherapy and diagnostics committee, and By-laws committee. Dr. Carr currently serves on the Board of Governors for the American Association of Certified Allergists. His interests include asthma, allergic rhinitis, food allergy, and allergic skin diseases.
