Dr. Thomas Newmark is professor and chief of psychiatry at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Camden, New Jersey. In addition, Dr. Newmark is president of the International Society of Sports Psychiatrists. He is also past president of the medical staff at Cooper University Hospital in Camden and past president of the New Jersey Psychiatric Association and South Jersey Psychiatric Association.

Dr. Newmark earned his medical degree from Hahnemann University Medical School. He completed his internship at Albert Einstein Medical Center in New York, and his residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is quadruple boarded in adult, geriatric, and administrative psychiatry, as well as psychosomatic medicine. He is very interested in psychiatric education and has received several Golden Apple Teaching Awards from the medical school. He also received the Sol Sherry MD Award from Cooper University Hospital.
