Suzanne Michel is a registered dietitian with over 40 years of experience caring for persons who have cystic fibrosis. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA; her Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan; and post graduate certificate in Health Administration from St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, PA. She is certified as a Pediatric Weight Management RD and Credentialed Microsystem Coach from The Dartmouth Institute Microsystem Academy. Suzanne is a Quality Improvement coach for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) and has coached a number of CF Center care teams.

After working at both adult and pediatric CF Centers in Philadelphia, Suzanne is currently a Clinical Associate Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Suzanne was a member of several CFF Guidelines Committees: Pediatric Nutrition; Infants Diagnosed through Newborn Screening; Growth and Nutrition including Nutrition Classification. She was awarded the Golden Apple from the national CFF and the Midwest CF Dietitian Achievement Award. Suzanne was the first RD member of the CFF North American CF Conference (NACFC) planning committee and an invited speaker and program planner for many NACFCs. Ms. Michel enjoys mentoring RDs new to CF and is often a guest speaker at CF Centers throughout North America.

She has co-authored numerous papers for peer-reviewed journals; chapters; and abstracts for professional conferences. Suzanne is a member of the American Dietetic Association and the Pediatric Nutrition Practice Group of the American Dietetic Association.
