Sumita Bhattacharya Khatri is Professor of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, specializing in pulmonary and critical care medicine. Dr. Khatri earned her medical degree at Ohio State University, trained in adult Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Cleveland Clinic, and earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Research at Emory University. Dr. Khatri serves as Director of the Asthma Center at Cleveland Clinic and is an expert in severe asthma. She also cares for patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. An advocate for patients and equity in public health, lung health, and air quality, Dr. Khatri serves as Vice-Chair on the Regional Board of the American Lung Association (ALA), and Vice Chair of Mission/Programs on the National Board of the ALA. She is also an active member in the American Thoracic Society.
