Dr. Weiss is a board-certified dermatologist and the former Senior Medical Director at Connetics Corporation, through its acquisition by Stiefel/ Glaxo-SmithKline. During his tenure, he advanced successfully three drug candidates through NDA approval. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Weiss held an adjunct faculty position at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine/Jackson Health System in the Department of Dermatology. Dr. Weiss graduated with his BA in Philosophy from Yale University, his MD and MHSc from the Duke University School of Medicine, and his MBA from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management. He completed a Residency in Dermatology at Stanford University Medical Center and a Fellowship in Bioethics at the National Institutes of Health.
