Dr. Simon Jensen is senior lecturer in emergency medicine at the University of Papua New Guinea, where he is clinical research supervisor at the University of Papua New Guinea's snake bite research project. He is also honorary consultant in emergency medicine at Port Moresby General Hospital. He has a special interest in environmental, wilderness, expedition, diving and hyperbaric medicine, as well as retrieval and disaster medicine. He is also a founding director of the Global Snake Bite Initiative.
