Ron L. Nelson is president of Health Services Associates, a consulting firm that specializes in medical practice management, physician reimbursement, and payment. Mr. Nelson has a broad background in both health policy and clinical delivery and is frequently recognized as an expert on cost based reimbursement related to rural health clinics and federally qualified health centers. He has served on multiple national and state commissions and has testified before Congress on numerous occasions regarding issues related to payment policy. Mr. Nelson is the co-founder and first president of the National Association of Rural Health Clinics, and has completed a second term as president of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. 

Mr. Nelson is an adjunct professor with the physician assistant program at Central Michigan University, and was named Preceptor of the Year for the 2007-2008 academic year for his outstanding teaching and support of the physician assistant program at Central Michigan University.
