Dr. Monteleone graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a B.S. in Biology followed by his M.D. at the Univ. of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He then completed a Family Medicine Residency at the University of Connecticut where he received the AAFP Resident Teacher Award. Afterwards he completed a Rural Family Practice and Maternity Care fellowship at the University of Texas - Galveston which included training in operative and non-operative obstetrics as well as office based procedures. He then went into private practice in Elkton, Maryland where he has been for over 10 years. He splits his time between his private practice and resident teaching primarily in the obstetrics setting. Dr. Monteleone is also the State Surgeon for the Delaware Army National Guard and has served as a physician on two tours in Iraq. He is a member of the Medical Executive Committee - Advisory Council for the Chief Surgeon of the Army National Guard.
