Renata Engler, MD

    Col. Renata J. M. Engler, MC, USA, is an associate professor in the department of medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Col. Engler received her MD at Georgetown University, and is board certified in the National Board of Medical Examiners; Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine; Allergy-Immunology, American Board of Allergy and Immunology; Diagnostic Laboratory Immunology, Conjoint Board of the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology, American Board of Pediatrics and American Board of Internal Medicine.

    Prior to focusing her efforts on the VHC, Col. Engler was chief of the department of allergy-immunology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Col. Engler is the former allergy-immunology consultant to the Army Surgeon General, and has served on international and national vaccine advisory committees, such as the National Vaccine Advisory Committee and the Brighton Collaboration.

    Col. Engler is the founder and director of the Vaccine Healthcare Centers Network (VHC), a congressionally-sponsored collaborative program.
