Rebecca Muntean, MD, ND, FACR, is a clinical rheumatologist for Providence Health & Services in Spokane, Washington. She also serves on the faculty at the University of Washington WWAMI Regional Medical Education and Providence Spokane Internal Medicine and is an Investigator at Premier Clinical Research in Spokane and Providence Health & Services. Dr. Muntean earned her medical degree at the University of Oradea in Oradea, Romania, and her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Providence Internal Medicine Spokane University of Washington-affiliated program followed by a fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Muntean is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. Dr. Muntean is a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. Her clinical research has focused on systemic sclerosis, dermatomyositis, amyloidosis, and vasculitis. She has presented on topics such as adjunctive therapies used in cancer treatment, primary CNS vasculitis, Sjögren’s vasculitis, osteoarthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, inflammatory myopathies, and rheumatic emergencies and psoriatic arthritis.
