Dr. Peter Hollmann is associate chief medical officer for Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island. He has a part time internal medicine and geriatric primary care practice in RI. He has 20 years of experience in medical management, including as a medical director of an HMO with a Medicare product. He has been a long-term care hospital, nursing home and home care medical director. In 1998 the American Geriatrics and the American Medical Association appointed him advisor from AGS to the CPT Advisory Committee. He also served as AGS advisor to the RBRVS Update Committee (RUC) from 2000-2001.

In 2003 the AMA appointed him to the CPT Editorial Panel. He is presently vice-chair of the Panel. He represents the CPT Editorial Panel on the RUC. He is Chair of the AGS Public Policy Committee and has contributed to the Practice Management Advisory Group toolkit and was a founding member of the Quality committee of AGS. He represents AGS at the AQA meetings and has been active in creating the PQRI measures for geriatrics as well as serving on the NCQA geriatrics measures advisory panel.
