Patti Duprey
Patti Duprey

    Patti Duprey is director and nurse practitioner at the Diabetes Center in North Conway, New Hampshire. A comprehensive diabetes care center, it is the only rural referral center in the state with an educational program that is recognized by the American Diabetes Association.

    Ms. Duprey received a post-master's certificate in the nurse practitioner program from the University of New Hampshire (UNH) at Durham. Previously, she received a master of science in nursing from UNH as a clinical nurse specialist in diabetes. She has been a clinical nursing instructor in both Maine and New Hampshire, and serves as a diabetes consultant for area agencies and primary care offices.

    Ms. Duprey is a certified diabetes educator and is the current chair of the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE). She is a member of the American Diabetes Association, the American Association of Diabetes Educators, and the New Hampshire Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is also the chair of the New Hampshire Diabetes Today Conference and has served on diabetes advisory committees for the state of New Hampshire.

    Ms. Duprey developed and co-taught a 4-credit online course with the University of New Hampshire, titled "Women's Health and Diabetes." Along with this, she teaches the diabetes component in the nurse practitioner program. She was a reviewer for the book The Art and Science of Diabetes Self-Management Education: A Desk Reference for Healthcare Professionals, published by the American Association of Diabetes Educators. She was also the 2010 recipient of the New Hampshire Nurse Practitioner of the Year award.
