Michele Roth-Kauffman chairs the physician assistant department at Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of the Saint Francis University Physician Assistant Program in Loretto, Pennsylvania, and Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh. 

Ms. Kauffman is the author of The Physician Assistant's Business Practice and Legal Guide, a comprehensive medical legal resource book for physician assistants. She is also a volunteer attorney with Northwest Legal Services and frequently lectures to physician assistants on legal medical issues.
