Michael S. Lee, MD

    Dr. Michael S. Lee is an interventional cardiologist, an assistant clinical professor of medicine, and the associate director of Interventional Cardiology Research at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine.

    Dr. Lee's research interests include heparin as an anticoagulant in patients with acute coronary syndrome and in percutaneous coronary intervention and protocols to establish heparin dosing regimens. Dr. Lee's interests have also focused on comparison of coronary artery bypass graft surgery and drug-eluting stenting for the treatment of left main coronary artery disease, multivessel coronary artery disease and diabetes, left ventricular dysfunction, and hybrid revascularization. Dr. Lee has lectured and presented his research abstracts at national and international conferences, including the American College of Cardiology Scientific Sessions, Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT), and TCT-Asia Pacific. He has first-authored numerous original, peer-reviewed research articles, including articles in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and Catheterization and Cardiovascular Intervention and numerous chapters, editorials, and reviews, including articles in Annals of Internal Medicine, Circulation, and Journal of the American College of Cardiology.

    Dr. Lee has been invited to be on numerous faculty at prestigious interventional cardiology conferences including TCT, TCT-Asia Pacific, and the inaugural Left Main Summit.

    Dr. Lee completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, a university hospital of College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University in New York City and his interventional cardiology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
