Michael Gerchufsky has been on staff at ADVANCE for Physician Assistants since 1994 and has been editor since 1997. ADVANCE is a national trade journal serving the more than 75,000 practicing US physician assistants.

Under his editorship, ADVANCE for Physician Assistants authors have won numerous American Academy of Physician Assistants PAragon Awards. His more than 16 years of service to the PA profession has been honored by the Association of Family Practice Physician Assistants.

His writing at ADVANCE has been recognized by the American Society of Business Press Editors and the American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors.

Before coming to ADVANCE, he worked at the Emergency Care Research Institute (now ECRI Institute) in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. He earned a degree in English/communications from Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales (now De Sales University) in Center Valley, Pennsylvania.
