Dr. Blaiss is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He received his baccalaureate in zoology from the University of Georgia and his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences, and he did his residency at Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center, and his fellowship in allergy and immunology at Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans. Dr. Blaiss is the immediate past President of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and past Treasurer of the American Board of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. He is also on the editorial board of a number of scientific journals, and has authored over 100 scientific articles, has written several allergy textbook chapters, and co-edited the Atlas of Allergic Diseases.
