Dr. Pesch is a developmental and behavioral pediatrician who studies the associations of mothers’ feeding behaviors on children’s risk of obesity. Dr. Pesch’s focus is on mothers of infants and toddlers. She is currently exploring the feeding beliefs and practices of mothers of toddlers, with a special focus on how they limit their children’s intake of junk food. In addition, Dr. Pesch is beginning a study investigating primary care pediatrician’s practices in diagnosing and treating rapid infant weight gain and infant obesity. Dr. Pesch completed her M.D., Masters in Clinical Research, pediatrics training, and sub-specialty fellowship training in developmental and behavioral pediatrics, all at the University of Michigan.
