Dr. Maureen Whelihan is a board-certified OB/GYN who has practiced in West Palm Beach, Florida, since 1997.  She graduated Alpha Omega Alpha from the University of South Florida College of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Florida - Shands Jacksonville.

She is a founding partner in the Center for Sexual Health and Education, based in Charlotte, North Carolina and West Palm Beach. She is a board member for the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health. She is the immediate past president of the Palm Beach County Medical Society, and the current president of the Florida OBGYN Society. 

Dr. Whelihan serves on the board of managers for the Healthcare Committee of the Palms West Chamber of Commerce. She is a volunteer physician for the Project Access program in Palm Beach County since 2006. She has been named in both "America's Top Obstetricians and Gynecologists" and "Top Doctors in the United States" lists.  In 2003 and 2009 she was honored by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Palm Beach Illustrated as "Woman of the Year" and in 2009 nominated by the Lupus Foundation as one of the Best and Brightest Women in Palm Beach County.
