Linda Powers was the first chair of the Maryland Stem Cell Commission and is co-founder and managing director of Toucan Capital, a $140 million venture capital fund based in Bethesda, Maryland. She is well known in the stem cell industry nationwide and in Europe, China and India. Ms. Powers has over 25 years of experience in venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and restructurings, and public-private partnerships. She holds a BA from Princeton University and a JD from Harvard Law School.
