Kristina Montemayor, MD
    Dr. Montemayor is currently a fourth year Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellow at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She began her medical career as a registered nurse in 2004 when she graduated with a Bachelor's in Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She excelled as a clinical nurse and was chosen to serve as the Assistant Nurse Manager for a 40-bed telemetry unit prior to medical school matriculation. In 2013, Kristina received her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch where she graduated summa cum laude. She completed the Osler Medical Training Program in Internal Medicine, and joined the Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship in 2016. She was the recipient of the 2017 Department of Medicine Fellows Teaching Award, which is an award granted to a single fellow from all medicine subspecialties. Kristina joined the Adult Cystic Fibrosis team last year under the mentorship of Dr. Natalie West and Dr. Noah Lechtzin. Her current research is focused on sex differences in pulmonary exacerbations in cystic fibrosis patients.
