Dr. Kaimana (Kai) MacDonald is an assistant clinical professor of psychiatry and the assistant director of the Emergency Room and Psychiatry Consult-Liaison Service at the University of California, San Diego Department of Psychiatry.
Dr. MacDonald serves also as the medical director for clinical trials at the University of California, San Diego Department of Psychiatry. In this role she is the primary investigator and sub-investigator for inpatient and outpatient trials in bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, sleep disorders, major depressive disorder and ADHD (adult and child). Dr. MacDonald serves as a Diplomate on the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Family Practice.
