Julia Steinberger, MD, MS
Julia Steinberger, MD, MS

    Dr. Julia Steinberger is an associate professor of pediatrics, the Dwan Endowed chair in pediatric cardiology, and director of the Pediatric Lipid Clinic at the University of Minnesota Medical School. She is also the medical director of the Pediatric Echocardiography Laboratory at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, and director of research at the University of Minnesota Powel Center of Excellence in Women's Health.

    She is a member of multiple professional societies, including the Israeli Medical Association and Israeli Pediatric Association, the Society of Pediatric Echocardiography and the American Heart Association (AHA) Council on Cardiovascular Diseases of the Young. She is an elected member of the Society for Pediatric Research. She is also the elected chair of the AHA Committee on Atherosclerosis, Obesity and Hypertension in the Young.

    Dr. Steinberger earned her medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University in Israel and completed her internship at Sackler's Beilinson Medical Center, also in Tel Aviv. She started her residency in pediatrics at Sackler's Golda Medical Center at Hasharon Hospital in Tel Aviv and finished the program with one year of residency in general pediatrics at the University of Minnesota Medical School, where she went on to complete her fellowship in pediatric cardiology. She also earned her master's degree in clinical research at the University of Minnesota's School of Public Health.
