Dr. Joyce Pulcini is an associate professor at Boston College Connell School of Nursing with over 30 years' experience as a pediatric nurse practitioner, educator and author. Bringing her expertise to panels for the American Academy of Nursing, International Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Nurse Network, and National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF), Dr. Pulcini has also contributed to more than 200 articles, textbooks and presentations about topics ranging from postpartum depression to improvements in nurse practitioner education and health policy. She has served 10 years on the INP/APN Network and since 2004 served as chair of the education/practice subgroup.

Dr. Pulcini has been a recipient of the NONPF's Outstanding Nurse Practitioner Educator award and recognized as an Outstanding Nurse Practitioner Leader of the Year by The Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Pulcini received her MS from Boston University and her PhD from Brandeis University's Florence Heller School.
