John Sweet is managing director of Ziegler Healthcare Real Estate Fund I, an equity fund created to invest in medical-related real estate. For the previous three years, Mr. Sweet was responsible for investing over $300 million in the acquisition of 31 medical properties for a publicly traded healthcare REIT. He co-founded and raised the initial capital for Windrose Medical Properties Trust. Post Windrose's initial public offering, he was vice president of acquisitions and marketing. From 1997 to 2001, Mr. Sweet was senior vice president of corporate finance for Ziegler, engaged in both healthcare and multi-industry mergers and acquisitions and capital formation. Over a number of years, Mr. Sweet has held positions as a financial executive with publicly traded companies, private family businesses and financial services companies.

Mr. Sweet has a bachelor's degree in business administration from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York, and an MBA from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
