Dr. Chuey joined the Beth Israel Medical Group, then known as D*O*C*S Physicians Affiliated with Beth Israel Medical Center, in 1997 and was one of the two original physicians when the 23rd Street site opened in March 1998. The practice initially provided acute care on a strictly walk-in basis but has since expanded to include appointments for preventive care and chronic disease management. The office now sees over 25,000 visits annually. In October 2008 the practice extended its hours to become the first in New York City to offer overnight medical services.
