Dr. Joe Sam Robinson, Jr. is a professor of surgery at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, and chief of neurosurgery at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. In addition, Dr. Robinson is the president of the State Board of Physicians Workforce.
Dr. Robinson received his medical training at the University of Virginia, followed by a rotation in London at St. Bart's Hospital and the National Heart Hospital. He then received an MS from Northwestern University and did his internship and residency in general surgery at Emory University as well as a neurological residency at Northwestern University. He completed his training with a fellowship in neurosurgery at Memorial-Sloan Kettering.
Dr. Robinson has published extensively, holds several patents and has several pending.
